So the other day I finally saw 50 Shades of Grey...

I suppose you could say this is sort of a review.

Firstly, I just want to make it clear that I LOVED IT and I'm surprised that there have been so many people saying otherwise.
I'd read somewhere that E.L James (writer) and Sam Taylor-Johnson (director) don't get on well and the reason for this is the tone and frequency of the sex scenes. Now as someone that loves something a little raunchy but still romantic, i thought it was perfect.. in fact I felt like if it was heavily focused on the sex side of it then it would be a. classed as a porno and b. tacky as hell.
E.L James wanted there to be a heavy focus on the sex scenes and Sam wanted it to a little more classy, focusing on the romance (which I COMPLETELY agree with) The worst part about the book were the cringe worthy sex scenes and I am so glad that wasn't portrayed in the books, Sam Taylor-Johnson did an amazing job, and in my opinion, if she does decide to bail on the other 2 films then I worry what they will end up like.

If you want to know a little more about that then read this article by The Daily Mail   Here is a little quote from it.."Sam and E.L. - who signed a £3 million deal with Universal and Focus Films giving them the rights to her trio of books, which also gave her creative control of the movies - and are said to have clashed numerous times about sex scenes as the author wanted to make the movie racier."

Anyway.. back to the film..

I thought it was great, loved the actors... thought Jamie Dornan was perfect for the role, just as I imagined Christian to be. Also Dakota Johnson was incredible, I like that she was timid and taciturn yet also a little sassy as she is in the books, her smart comments in the book were great and she produced the same quality in this too. Obviously they are both GORGEOUS! and naturally so too, Dakota didn't wear too much make up (I know that in the book she doesn't either but normally in films they wear loads) she looked really natural and very Anastasia Steele.

I can't wait for the next ones, although I know it will be a loooong time and I would definitely recommend that you go and see it.
